So if you want to unload items such as shoes, old electronics, textiles and more, you can do it all at one location - at I Recycle Scottsdale, this coming Sat., Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at Pima Center, located at 9200 E. Pima Center Parkway.

 

I Recycle Scottsdale Nov. 14 is presented by the Keep Scottsdale Beautiful - which is in honor of America Recycles Day.

 

Additionally, there will be a free paper shredder available that is being recycled for attendees of the event to also take advantage of.

The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy is a 2015/2016 lecture series that features a variety of subjects and topics.  This lecture series caters to a wide variety of interest levels.

 

Interested parties may attend the Natural History classes to learn additional information about the flora and fauna of our region, geology and desert ecology in addition to the Citizens Science Training Class which will be focusing on the impact we have on hiking trails.

Don't miss your opportunity to safely dispose of any toxic waste you may have around the house.  Saturday, November 7, 2015, is household hazardous waste collection day for the city of Scottsdale, AZ.

 

Please bring all hazardous household waste to the Scottsdale North Corporation Yard at 9191 E. San Salvador Drive Scottsdale, AZ 85258, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 2 PM.

 

Hazardous household waste includes but is not limited to cleaners, automotive oil, paints, and electronics.  These items should not go to a landfill but should be properly disposed of instead.  

 

However, no bio hazardous material, ammunition, explosives or radioactive material will be accepted.  Please bring Proof of residency in the form of a picture ID with a Scottsdale address or a utility bill.

Difficult situations can affect a community in many ways, and community members need to be proactive in preventing the worst of these occurrences.

 

On November 5, 2015 homeowners and board members in Scottsdale, AZ can attend a free seminar to learn how to properly address issues such as animal hoarding, gun violence and home protection by learning about state law and civil codes.

The Old Town Farmer's Market will be located at 3806 North Brown Avenue, which is on the southwest corner of First Street and Brown Avenue. It is scheduled to run from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM on every Saturday.

 

This is the perfect chance to check out all the fresh fruits and organic produce from local farmers or to socialize with members of our community.
