b2ap3_thumbnail_2014-Sunday-A-Fair.pngThe Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is inviting everyone to attend the Sunday A’Fairs activity on February 16, 2014 (Sunday). The event will be at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall located at 7380 E. 2nd St. in Scottsdale. It will start at 12 noon and will end at 4 in the afternoon.

Grab this chance to witness free afternoon mini-festivals that will take place on the said mall which is just adjacent from the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Guests will get to enjoy concerts as well as performances carried out by the Valley’s top entertainers. More so, there’s a wide array of arts and crafts for sale.

Children and families can take part in various hands-on activities. They can also join the free docent-guided tours of the sculptures on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. This concert will run until the 6th of April.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Scottsdale-Arabian-Horse-Show.pngThe Arabian Horse Association of Arizona is inviting everyone to attend the 59th Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show on February 13 (Thursday) until 23 (Sunday), 2014 at the Westworld of Scottsdale, located at 16601 N. Pima Road. The Horse Show will start at 8:00 in the morning and end at 5:00 in the afternoon. 

Attendees can expect to see about 2,400 horses which will be competing all throughout the 11-day event. People will get to see the future of the breed in the colt and filly classes. Add to that, there will also be the Liberty classes where the horses are able to run free. The Native Costume for horses and riders is also present. 

During the event, there will be many retail vendors selling equestrian art, books, jewelry and clothing.

Everyone is invited to attend the event titled “Neighborhood College – Even You Need an Estate Plan” this coming February 12 (Wednesday), 2014. The seminar will be from 1:00 until 3:00 in the afternoon at the Library – Mustang, Auditorium located at 10101 N. 90th Street in Scottsdale. 

Take this opportunity to attend the aforementioned seminar as it is free of charge. Participants will be able to learn what estate planning is and also how they will be able to accomplish each family/individual’s goals. More so, individuals will get to listen to a lecture on what happens if the person doesn't have any estate plan in place as well as what are the countless options available in determining what is right for one’s preference. 

Examining wills, trusts, plus other estate planning tools are included to complete the basic understanding of estate planning. Attendees are also given the privilege to ask questions at the end of the seminar.

Dubbed as the “ultimate artistic showdown on Main Street and all around Scottsdale Downtown”, this event features masterpieces related to cowboy culture.

This event also serves as the kick off celebration to Parada del Sol, a pro rodeo and historic parade.

Parada del Sol is a non-profit corporation that provides financial and volunteer support to charities that provide healthcare, resources, and community programs that benefit the underserved. The Parada del Sol is able to provide these resources through the production and promotion of Parada del Sol Rodeo, Parada del Sol Parade and various charitable events.

This event is made possible by ArtWalk the Line, the Scottsdale Gallery Associaiton, Scottsdale Downtown, and Western Art Collector.

This free event is part of the Neighborhood College Program. It shall be focusing on the proper steps Homeowners Association should take when hiring vendors such as management companies, landscapers, and attorneys. There will also be an in-depth discussion on the request for proposal (RFP) process and vendor contracts as well as the relationship between an “employee” and an “independent contractor.”

The City of Scottsdale developed the Neighborhood College to provide residents, neighborhood groups and homeowners associations with the information, resources and tools needed to become effective neighborhood leaders.
