All are invited to attend the Playing for Change Event on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 and will start at 7:00 in the evening at the Musical Instrument Museum located at 4725 E. Mayo Boulevard, Phoenix, Arizona.
This event is a multimedia movement which was created to connect, inspire, and bring peace throughout the world by means of music. It was in 2009 when filmmaker Mark Johnson brought together more than 100 musicians coming from all parts of the globe with the aim of uniting street and local musicians.
Current members of the Playing for Change’s are musicians from Japan, United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Cuba, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Israel. Other artists that this organization have collaborated with include Jackson Browne, Toots and the Maytals, Tinariwen, Ziggy Marley, BabaaMaal, and Jimmy Buffett to name a few.
Admission fees are from $37.50 to $47.50.
