Art enthusiasts are invited to join the Celebration of Fine Art 2015 happening on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. The event will be from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening at the Hayden Road and the Loop 101, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Guests will get to watch art as it is being created together with more than 100 artists geared up at their working studios. They will be housed in big white tents strategically located southwest of Hayden Road and the Loop 101. Attendees will likewise witness this variety of art in all styles coming from traditional to contemporary.

The event will be happening daily until Monday, March 30, 2015.

Be sure to grab this opportunity and be amazed on what these selected artists can do.

Exciting news! Tiger Woods has announced that he will play at the Phoenix Waste Management Open. This is Woods' first time playing at the tournament since 2001, and after an injury stricken 2014 season fans are excited to see how he does at the "Greenest Show on the Grass."

Before the Phoenix Waste Management Open begins with practice rounds on Monday, January 26th, Barrett-Jackson's famous Car Auction will excite car enthusiasts from around the world.

Everyone is requested to be part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner Celebration happening on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 and will start at 5:30 in the afternoon. The dinner celebration will be held at Chaparral Suites, 5001 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to give tribute to the Scottsdale Community Collaborative Youth Scholarships and “Voices” program for high school students. Participants will also get to listen to Keynote Speaker 2001 Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Buffalo Bills Head Coach Marv Levy .

There will also be a Peace & Community Day on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 4:30 in the afternoon at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Ampitheater. A Regional Unity Walk will also be happening on Saturday, January 18, 2015 at 10:30 in the morning at the Tempe Town Lake.

b2ap3_thumbnail_City-of-Scottsdale.pngThe Pinnacle Peak is inviting everyone to join their Free Guided Nature Tours at Pinnacle Peak every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday until January 30, 2015. The guided nature tour starts at 10:00 in the morning and will be held at the Pinnacle Peak Park, 26802 N. 102 Way, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Attendees will get to leisurely walk on the trail without any reservations. Participants can hike to and from the Grandview Overlook wherein the hike may take up to two hours. 

Tours are available on a drop-in basis. 

Interested parties are likewise suggested to come prepared for the walk. Dress in comfortable shoes and clothes as the walk will have a distance of approximately 1.5 miles. Accompanying hike leaders will be providing insights about the plants, geology, animals, archeology, and history of the park as well as Scottsdale’s Sonoran Desert.

b2ap3_thumbnail_City-of-Scottsdale.pngAll are invited to participate at the Christmas Tree Roundup starting on Monday, January 5 until Sunday, January 11, 2015. The event starts at 10:35 in the morning and will be a Citywide event.

For those who have residential collection service, kindly make sure that your Christmas tree is at your curbside by 5:00 in the morning on Monday, January 5, 2015. Remove any ornaments, lights, and stands as it will not be collected. More so, no artificial trees will likewise be collected.

To those who think would miss the tree roundup or do not have any residential collection service, people can drop off their trees at the Scottsdale Ranch Park, 10400 E. Via Linda, or Eldorado Park, 2311 N. Miller Road.

All tree collected will be turned into mulch or compost so be sure to prepare your trees for pickup.
