This event is part of the Green Building Lecture Series whose aim is to show residential and commercial projects within the greater Scottsdale/Phoenix area that best represent principles pointed out in the lecture series. More so, the Scottsdale’s Green Building Program supports using natural resources responsibly in order to have a healthy, sustainable, and safe community.

The Green Building Program boosts a whole-systems approach by the design and building techniques that can minimize environmental impact. Additionally, this program aims to reduce the energy consumption of buildings and at the same time making the health of the occupants better.

The exhibit will be from 6:30 to 9:00 in the evening at the Bezalel Gallery in Old Town Scottsdale located at 7012 E. Main Street, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Guests will get to see the 37 original fine art portraits as well as works of the human figure made by 24 Portrait Artists of Arizona members. Attendees are also given the chance to mingle together with the artists while nibbling on some tasty snacks.

Exhibiting artists will likewise carry out portrait demonstrations every Thursday night via ArtWalk all throughout May.

Portraiture is considered to have a long and rich history. Portraiture and the human figure have always been enchanting in the minds, souls, and hearts of countless people. Going to such events allow individuals to appreciate this kind of art and have a deeper understanding of it.

Falls are becoming a huge threat to the health, independence, and safety to aging individuals. Scottsdale Health educator Michelle Barth, MSW will be sharing how to prevent these falls from happening. Other topics to be discussed are balancing exercises, home safety improvements, avoiding hazards, and wearing proper footwear.

Avail of this unique offer by visiting either the Eldorado or McDowell Ranch Aquatic Centers. The City’s new swim instructors will be conducting the lessons; thus allowing them to share the skills that they have to others.

Residents may also get to enjoy the Summer Family Pass which allows all families to experience unlimited public swim and fitness center visits starting Memorial Day until Labor Day. Families visiting a city pool about two times a week and in groups of four are eligible to get a substantial savings when they buy the said Pass.
